COVID-19 Update
Fort Frances, Ontario – 2020/03/17 – 1:00pm:  The health and safety of the dedicated Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board (RRDSSAB) employees, clients and our community is our top priority.  The RRDSSAB Senior Leadership has been closely monitoring and planning to support the situation regarding the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Based on the COVID-19 daily updates from the Government of Ontario and Public Health Canada the RRDSSAB has implemented the following preventative measures to minimize the risk of a potential spread of the virus:
 The RRDSSAB has closed its directly run daycares;  Fort Frances office will remain open, at this time however we are encouraging clients, tenants, and the public to avoid coming into the office, and limiting face-to-face contact, whenever possible. There will be no public access granted to the RRDSSAB office past the reception area;  The RRDSSAB Atikokan office will be closed to public access however, staff will be available;  We recommend the use of online or telephone services for both locations. A drop-box is available in both the Fort Frances and Atikokan offices;  Maintenance will be available however, staff will only access units on an emergency basis and additional pre-screening questions will be asked.  The RRDSSAB strongly advises against visitors at this time to all Housing buildings and units. The public is asked not to visit if you are feeling unwell, have a cough or fever; and  Paramedic Services is exercising all precautions to ensure the safety of staff and patients during calls.  Additional screening questions are being asked at the onset to ensure all staff have the proper protective equipment to enable us to safely render the best possible care to our patients.
The Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board will continue to monitor updates related to COVID-19 and will keep the public informed about any changes to services.
